Planning and Enviroument

The planning and environment committee supports good planning practices and monitor and liases with local authorities on planning and environment activities in the Uckfield district. It tries to maintain the character of Uckfield while still allowing the town to develop. It also encourages environment plans like the reintroduction of the Uckfield to Lewes railway, improving public transport and reducing the effects of car congestion and pollution.
